Photobook, 2022
Awarded with the ADC Talent Award 2023 in Gold
Editorial Design: Sarah Köster
Photography: Sarah Köster
Epilogue: Sarah Köster
24x30 cm, 128 pages with 106 color and black and white photographs First edition is self-published, limited edition of 25 copies.
Each book comes with a small individual print and postcard featuring the epilogue, with one side in English and the other in German.
Some pages of my book are shortened to 16 cm, which creates interesting relationships between individual images and book pages. As with dreams and desires, the photographs are not isolated: rather, they form a fluid transition of associations and connections.
More information about vague and a selection of images can be found here.
„vague is a visual journey into the world between dream and reality. Photography is used for this book project in all its creative spectrum. The thrilling pictorial rhythm of interchanging portraits, landscapes, objects color alienations, cropping and abstractions creates a visually seductive experience that celebrates the power of images. The photography creates narratives that are not specifically stated, but are clearly palpable. The playful realization presented here is a refreshing counterpoint in our thoroughly structured world and exemplifies the richness of design in photography.”

Content Creation and Social Media Management for Berlin Photo Week 2021
For Berlin Photo Week 2021 I developed a new social media concept. The focus was on the growth of the target group and the promotion of new young talents (BPW x Young Artists).
In addition to content creation, I was responsible for the photographic curation of the new category BPW x Young Artists, which features emerging artists, as well as BPW Introducing, a series featuring different photographers and their working methods.
I was in frequent contact with photographers, art advisors, PR agents and art galleries.
Further, I assisted the BPW 2021 team with some design tasks, such as designing posters and merchandise and helped with the exhibition design.

Every year, EyeEm releases a physical print magazine to honor the finalists of their annually EyeEm Awards. The 2019 EyeEm Awards broke one million submissions. The Awards Magazine sums up the one hundred finalists – ten per category – and tells the readers about the stories behind the images.
Before editing and designing the Awards Magazine, together with Gen Sadakane, Jenna Black and Miles Holder, I developed a new Design language for the EyeEm Awards. Sample social assets can be found under the magazine layout.

Playlist – Leslie Clio is a photographic, journalistic, and creative work in which I accompany singer Leslie Clio, known (amongst others) for her gold-awarded song I Couldn’t Care Less. I present her as a regular person, examining her personal history while taking a closer look at the evolution of her identity as a musician in her first three albums Gladys, Eureka and Purple. How emotionally compelling are her songs? The statements in the book examine her experience in the music industry and the story behind some of her songs. The book also contains the lyrics of each featured song. Photographically, I accompany her on stage and in private.
Final Project for the B.A. in Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund ,supervised by Thomas Hilliges and Dirk Gebhardt, graded with 1,0.
In my accompanying thesis, I looked at the position of women in the music industry and how women can be empowered in the industry.
I was responsible for the design and photography of several cover artworks for Leslie Clio. In addition, I also designed social media posts for her with the lyrics of her songs. I also filmed and edited the teaser for her song Brave New Woman.
